Founded in 1974, the 10-piece ensemble German Brass has gained worldwide success with their Bach and Wagner arrangements. However, their repertoire includes all stylistic direction – from Schleidt to Shostakovich, from Dixieland to Bossa Nova. It also contains adaptions of musical evergreens which have been arranged especially for them, paying tribute to the typical sound and the technical brilliance of the ensemble.
German Brass have been internationally touring for the past 35 years including shows in Europe, Mexico, Brasil, Egypt, Turkey, Europe, Russia and China – selling out 3,000 capacity venues. In 2002, German Brass have been performing with members of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra at the Avery Fisher Hall at the Lincoln Center. Over the years, German Brass have released 30 CDs and DVDs. Being a worldwide synonym for brass music at its highest level, German Brass have been invited to the biggest brass festivals.
